Job Description
Bid and estimation engineer preparing tenders, bills of materials, quotations, and cost estimates for Securitas security technology projects. Coordinating Sales, Operations, procurement, and client stakeholders across Ireland and the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Compile Bills of Materials and prepare quotations for Account Managers
- Review project designs, specifications and documentation to determine project requirements
- Calculate quantities and labour requirements for cost estimation
- Prepare draft cost templates and tender documentation for internal review
- Ensure quotations comply with client standards, requirements and expectations
- Prepare tenders and standardised tender templates and documentation
- Coordinate tender reviews, approvals and commercial sign-off processes
- Support Account Managers during reviews with Operations teams and clients
- Maintain records of subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor tender deadlines and ensure submissions are completed on time
- Coordinate tender review activities between Sales and Operations teams
- Support procurement and tender administration activities, including management approval documentation
- Prepare correspondence and documentation for internal stakeholders, bidders and contractors
- Participate in client-facing tender review meetings where required
Requirements:
- Experience in bid coordination, bid management, administration or document control
- Experience working with complex documentation and information
- Strong understanding of tender preparation and coordination processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience within the security, engineering, construction, architecture or related industries (desirable)
- Experience working within project-based environments (desirable)
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software (desirable)
- Background in construction, electrical engineering, procurement, logistics or a similar analytical environment (desirable)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Strong team-working and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
- Ability to review information critically and identify inconsistencies
