Job Description
Remote Loan Officer guiding homebuyers through mortgage applications and closings at Cornerstone. Building referral networks and helping clients achieve homeownership.
Responsibilities:
- Build genuine relationships with borrowers and referral partners
- Understand each borrower's priorities and guide them through mortgage options
- Manage every detail of the mortgage process from application to closing
- Set clear expectations throughout the loan journey
- Deliver an exceptional client experience at every step
- Stay current on market trends, product updates, and compliance requirements
- Build and develop a thriving mortgage loan origination business
- Partner with real estate professionals, builders, and industry professionals
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of consecutive, recent experience in mortgage loan origination
- Demonstrated knowledge of the complete loan lifecycle
- Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license in good standing with the NMLS for applicable state(s), or ability to obtain licensing within 60 days of hire
- Proven track record of successful loan origination
- Established referral network of realtors, builders, and industry professionals
- Ability to manage a consistent loan pipeline effectively
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex financial data and guide sound lending decisions
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
