Job Description

Business Data Analyst supporting Canadian Collision and Glass franchise brands through data-driven insights. Engaging in advanced analytics, data storytelling, and meeting business needs with analytical solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large and complex data sets, identify trends/patterns, perform ad-hoc analysis, create data models across our brands using SQL, Python, etc.
  • Translate complex analysis into actionable insights that support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
  • Assist Data Science team in discovery, back-end dev, optimization of advanced analytics models.
  • Conduct ad-hoc and recurring analyses to support sales growth, operational efficiency, and KPI performance.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality, working with data engineers to optimize pipelines.
  • Support test-and-learn initiatives and performance measurement to quantify business impact.
  • Develop & maintain scalable automations for data sources, reports, periodic analysis.
  • Define, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with business goals.
  • Document data sources, methodologies, and reporting logic to ensure transparency and consistency.
  • Partner with Operations, Insurance, Finance, and leadership to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
  • Support regional and district leaders with data-driven insights to prioritize initiatives that improve performance.
  • Develop and present clear analytical narratives and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support BI and analytics projects from concept through implementation and assist advanced analytics initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (math, statistics, physics, engineering, economics, computer science) or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in SQL & a scripting language (R/Python).
  • Minimum 2 years’ professional experience with KPI reporting and dashboard building.
  • Advanced SQL and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Added Fuel if you have:
  • Experience performing data analysis and/or building automations in Python/R.
  • Experience with predictive analytics, statistical modeling, or automation.
  • Passion for solving sophisticated problems through data analysis.
  • Working knowledge of applied statistics.
  • Experience in data visualization, preferably in Tableau, Qlik or Power BI.
