Job Description

Camp Manager overseeing food, housekeeping, front desk, and facility maintenance services at Aramark’s remote camp. Managing operations, finances, safety, and hospitality teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the operational team and hourly employees
  • Interact daily with the client and the client’s employees
  • Plan, manage, and oversee multiple contracted services for a single client
  • Meet operational and financial objectives, client expectations, and customer needs
  • Supervise, direct, and coordinate all operations at the remote camp
  • Ensure safe delivery of high-quality culinary and hospitality services
  • Manage operational forecasts, food and labor targets, and cost controls
  • Support Front Line Managers in meeting or exceeding financial targets
  • Roll out and execute Operational Programs and the Executional Framework
  • Ensure the site Scope of Work is followed and report gaps weekly to the District Manager or designate
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture
  • Oversee inventory completion and health and safety audits
  • Ensure compliance with Aramark, government, and accrediting body standards
  • Ensure sanitation and safety requirements are met
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Evaluate service delivery and identify opportunities for new products or amenities
  • Enhance partnerships with local communities
  • Participate in recruitment, development, and retention of front-line employees
  • Motivate, train, and supervise hourly staff and supervisors on Customer Service, Culinary Excellence, and Waste Management programs
  • Report to the District Manager

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of management/leadership experience, preferably in remote camps, hotel operations, or the hospitality sector
  • Business Diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution is an asset
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities/partners
  • Advanced Food Safety certifications are mandatory
  • First Aid Certification is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with supervision
  • Strong prioritization and time-management skills
  • Ability and willingness to work extended rotations away from home
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work long rotations away from home
