Job Description

Career counsellor guiding Canadian clients through career change, job search, and holistic resilience coaching. Delivering long-term programs while enrolling clients and tracking progress in CRM.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead prospective clients through the signature “Turning Point” initial counselling session
  • Build rapport and enroll clients into ongoing coaching programs aligned with their needs
  • Deliver comprehensive, long-term coaching programs lasting 3 months to a year
  • Provide career guidance for career change and job search, including resume feedback, interviewing, and job-search support
  • Address emotional and life challenges including stress, anxiety, and identity disruption
  • Use AI tools for career development research, including labour market trends and job-search strategies
  • Provide psychoeducation and use HeartMath and body-centered approaches to support well-being
  • Maintain collaborative, non-judgmental client relationships through consistent engagement and check-ins
  • Document client progress in the CRM system
  • Structure sessions with clear action plans and tangible results
  • Manage approximately 10-15 clients per week
  • Manage workflow, client interactions, and administrative tasks efficiently
  • Contribute proactively to the collaborative team

Requirements:

  • Residing in Canada
  • 3-5+ years focusing specifically on Career Counselling
  • Familiarity with HeartMath tools and approach; willingness to integrate it into career counselling work
  • Advanced skills helping clients navigate anxiety through cognitive and somatic approaches
  • Minimum CBT training and/or certification
  • Expertise in career change, job loss, identity disruption, AI’s impact, and labour market trends
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for career development research
  • High proficiency in sales and enrollment for coaching programs
  • Knowledge of positive psychology and ability to coach on broader life issues
  • Essential proficiency with CRM systems for client management, scheduling, and progress tracking
  • Services eligible for insurance coverage and recognized by major insurers
  • Current and ongoing professional insurance coverage, valid for private practice, mandatory
  • Ability to facilitate counselling effectively in a remote setting
  • Strong administrative skills and highly proficient CRM software use
  • Eligible professional designation such as Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Psychologist, Social Worker (MSW or RSW), CCC, RCC, RCT, or equivalent designation in the candidate’s home province
  • HeartMath facilitator certification can be pursued after hiring, but alignment with and willingness to integrate the approach is required
