Job Description
Seasonal CARES Representative conducting Medicare health risk assessments and benefit activation calls for MPA, a nationwide Medicare distribution platform. Documenting interactions and following HIPAA and CMS requirements remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Complete Health Risk Assessments (HRAs) with members by phone using the approved script and question set
- Walk members through benefit activation questions
- Place outbound calls and receive inbound calls from a scheduled queue
- Document every member interaction and assessment response in the designated system in real time
- Follow call handling, quality, privacy, HIPAA, and CMS compliance guidelines
- Escalate out-of-scope member questions, complaints, or issues to a supervisor
- Meet daily and weekly productivity and quality expectations
- Attend required paid training sessions and team huddles
Requirements:
- Prior call center, customer service, healthcare, or insurance experience preferred but not required
- Clear, professional phone communication skills and strong active listening
- Comfortable navigating multiple computer applications while speaking with a member
- Accurate data entry and attention to detail
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls and maintain composure with members who may need extra patience
- Ability to pass a background check as required
- Quiet, private, distraction-free workspace suitable for discussing protected health information
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Ability to receive, secure, and return company-issued equipment
- Availability to attend all training and scheduled shifts on camera or by phone as required
- Approximately 28 hours per week
- Availability for shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM ET, Monday–Sunday, including possible evenings and weekends
- Reliable, consistent attendance for the entire assignment period
