Job Description
Chemistry Content Developer crafting engaging, exam-ready materials aligned with VCE curriculum. Work remotely for a fast-growing education startup in India.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality Chemistry resources for Grades 11–12 such as homework assignments, practice exams, and assessments using Contour’s existing frameworks as a base.
- Structure question sets by subtopic to create clear, logical progressions that support deeper learning and retention.
- Adapt and refine materials to meet the VCE Chemistry syllabus requirements, ensuring authentic exam alignment and question difficulty.
- Write detailed step-by-step solutions and tutorial-style explanations that guide students through complex problems.
- Align content with Australian VCE Chemistry curriculum terminology, format, and assessment standards.
- Regularly review and enhance content accuracy, clarity, and educational impact.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including educators, product specialists, and tutors to improve and innovate content delivery.
- Stay abreast of Chemistry education trends, syllabus changes, and new instructional design techniques to keep materials cutting-edge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry.
- 1-2 years of experience in Chemistry content development, academic writing, or curriculum design.
- Familiarity with the VCE Chemistry syllabus or similar Australian senior secondary curriculum.
- Excellent communication abilities with expertise in explaining complex concepts simply.
- Keen interest in education and dedication to creating accurate, engaging student content.
- Leadership potential and desire to contribute to team growth (Nice-to-Haves).
