Job Description
Civil 3D modeler preparing instrumentation designs and 3D models for infrastructure projects remotely. Collaborating with civil, structural, and MEP teams while maintaining compliance with standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop instrumentation design drawings including: Loop diagrams, Instrument location drawings, Hook-up diagrams, Termination and wiring diagrams
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for infrastructure projects including roads, highways, grading, drainage, utilities, and site development using Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit.
- Create accurate surface models, alignments, profiles, corridors, and pipe networks based on survey data and design inputs.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, and MEP teams to ensure model consistency and clash-free designs.
- Prepare construction documentation, plan/profile sheets, cross-sections, and quantity take-offs from models.
- Maintain model accuracy and ensure compliance with GCC authority standards, client specifications, and BIM protocols.
- Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical support to design engineers.
- Update models and drawings as per markups, comments, or design revisions.
- Manage model file structures, naming conventions, and version control according to project BIM execution plans.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure projects within the GCC (roads, utilities, drainage, grading, or site development).
- Proven expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit (advanced level proficiency required).
- Previous experience in remote collaboration environments using BIM workflows and coordination tools.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, including corridors, surfaces, grading, pipe networks, and data shortcuts.
- Solid understanding of Revit modeling workflows for civil and infrastructure integration.
- Experience with Navisworks for model review and clash detection is an advantage.
- Familiarity with BIM standards, LOD definitions, and data exchange formats (IFC, DWG, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of InfraWorks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360 / Autodesk Docs platforms.
- Able to work remotely and available immediately.
