Job Description
Cloud Engineer building secure, scalable GCP infrastructure and data systems for 66degrees, an enterprise AI transformation partner. Automating deployments, CI/CD, monitoring, compliance, and disaster recovery for global clients.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain complex infrastructure and data systems on Google Cloud Platform for global clients
- Collaborate with architects and teams to design scalable and resilient GCP infrastructure solutions
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar tools
- Integrate DevOps methodologies and establish CI/CD pipelines
- Implement security measures and ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and other data privacy regulations
- Architect monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions
- Develop and oversee backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks and optimize infrastructure
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues
- Document cloud architecture, configurations, and processes
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and software developers
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically GCP
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager
- In-depth knowledge of Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Networking, IAM, and Kubernetes
- Experience with Ansible is required
- Experience deploying and optimizing BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Firestore, Cloud Bigtable, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting
- Experience managing Linux and Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of security best practices and CIS, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance frameworks
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Immediate joiner required
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification preferred
