Job Description
Cloud Migration Engineer at Easy Dynamics assessing infrastructure and executing migrations to cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. Collaborating with teams to ensure compliance and optimize migration efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Assess infrastructure across Windows, Linux, AIX, and Solaris environments to determine migration readiness and dependencies.
- Design and recommend cloud migration strategies (e.g., rehost, replatform, refactor) tailored to business needs and technical constraints.
- Plan and execute migrations to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud (GCP).
- Automate deployment and configuration using scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation).
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance, security, and cost-efficiency post-migration.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with standards.
- Document migration plans, runbooks, and best practices to support continuity and knowledge transfer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience migrating applications and infrastructure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with virtualization and server operating systems including Windows Server, Linux, AIX, and Solaris.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Azure Administrator Associate.
- Familiarity with networking, security best practices, and cloud governance frameworks.
