Job Description
Remote RN or therapist coder reviewing home health coding and OASIS for Healthcare Provider Solutions. Supporting billing, compliance, and clinical consulting services for home care and hospice organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform home health, or home health and hospice, coding and OASIS review
- Work remotely/from home for Healthcare Provider Solutions
- Use multiple EMR systems to complete coding and OASIS review efficiently
- Navigate and work in designated EMR platforms
- Use Microsoft Teams and Outlook, including screen sharing
- Work independently, make decisions, and collaborate effectively with others
- Deliver coding/OASIS services for a company providing consulting and related services to home care and hospice industries
Requirements:
- Must have home health or home health and home health and hospice coding experience; cannot only be hospice experienced
- Must be coding certified (BCHH-C or HCS-D)
- Must be OASIS certified (COS-C, COQS or HCS-O)
- Minimum of 5 years of routine coding and OASIS review experience
- Must be a career coder focused on coding/OASIS currently and for at least the past year
- Knowledge of more than 1 EMR system and ability to learn others quickly and work efficiently and productively
- Reliable high-speed internet and computer less than 3 years old
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with WellSky, My Unity, Axxess, Kantime, MatrixCare, HHMD, HCHB, Synergy, and DSL
- Ability to use Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook and screen share
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, and follow directions in English
- Ability to work and make decisions independently
- Ability to work well with others, work under pressure, adapt, remain flexible, and maintain attention to detail
- One of the following licenses: RN/PT/OT/ST
- Bachelor's degree preferred
