Job Description
Combustion Engineer providing combustion solutions for fired equipment in the Benelux region. Working with a global team to diagnose equipment issues and enhance technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in diagnosing ALL fired equipment for mechanical integrity and operational suitability.
- Diagnose failures and malfunctions and engineer technical and operational solutions.
- Suggest maintenance scope for repairs and review completed maintenance for suitability.
- Generate and report pre-turnaround scope.
- Review equipment received at site and assist with commissioning and startup.
- Contact and visit existing as well as new clients to ensure Zeeco is established in customer's system.
- Discover business opportunities and work to generate inquiries.
- Identify decision makers and build trust/long term relationships.
- Visit customer's plants to conduct site surveys and obtain market intelligence.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for combustion equipment at customer facilities.
- Give technical and training presentations to customers.
Requirements:
- A good technical or engineering qualification.
- Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Demonstrated and proven experience of combustion equipment essential.
- Mechanical or process engineering background, ideally with some practical commissioning or site experience.
- Confident in ability to build relationships.
- Flexible, hard-working, team player.
- Be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve thinking laterally.
- Willing to and go the extra mile.
- Willing to travel across the UK regularly with occasional International extended trips if required.
- Ability to communicate at all levels with good verbal and written skills.
- Good presentation skills. The role could involve presenting to large audiences.
