Job Description
Technical role in Expleo focused on FEM calculations for aerospace projects. Involves coaching engineers and collaborating with clients on methodology and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Build, update and validate Finite Element Models (GFEM & DFEM) in Nastran and Abaqus within an aerospace structures environment
- Implement 3D plugs and static condensations across various environments and loading scenarios
- Mentor junior engineers through coaching and tutoring on FEM simulation topics
- Act as a proactive advisor to our clients: propose methods, tools and process automation related to the technical issues of the projects
- Perform post-processing and static analyses related to the models worked on (occasional fatigue analyses as required)
Requirements:
- Master's degree (engineering school, university or equivalent)
- At least 5 years of solid experience in aerospace structural analysis (primary and secondary structures; metallic & composite)
- Proven expertise in Finite Element Models and extensive experience working on Nastran and Abaqus projects
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and able to interface directly with technical clients
- Fluent technical English
- Analytical mindset, rigorous and proactive
- Proficiency with Hyperworks and Excel (Abaqus CAE is a plus) and mandatory experience with the Nastran and Abaqus solvers
- Knowledge of Python is a plus
