Job Description
Compliance Manager overseeing regulatory programs and team performance in banking. Responsible for compliance advisory services and management oversight with a focus on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- manage a team of compliance professionals or third-party providers
- provide compliance advisory services, guidance, expertise or effective challenge for regulatory change, product change, other initiatives, or business-as-usual operations
- maintain proficiency in the banking laws, rules and regulations, supervisory trends and enforcement landscape
- ensure adherence to consistent standards for the communication, execution, documentation, quality control, and reporting of activities and results performed by others
- recruit, hire, manage, and retain employees
- coach, mentor, train, and collaboratively establish development goals and plans for direct reports to be successful in their roles
- plan, assign and evaluate the work of staff, screens and selects candidates, monitors volume, workflow and quality
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience
- 6 or more years Banking, financial or insurance services, risk management, information technology, software development, systems/network administration, legal, regulatory, compliance or audit (Required)
- 2 or more years digital, technology, management information systems, data science, data management, data analysis (Preferred)
- 1 or more years experience implementing operational or compliance controls to achieve business outcomes, project management experience in a highly-regulated industry (Preferred)
- 1 or more years supervisory or management experience (Preferred)
- CRCM or other relevant certification/credentials before or within 12 months following incumbency (Required)
