Job Description

Data Analyst analyzing nutrition, diet, and vaginal microbiome cohort data for Johns Hopkins public health research. Creating dashboards, reports, and presentations to support stakeholder decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze data
  • Create reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership
  • Use findings to aid decision-making
  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data
  • Communicate findings through dashboards, reports, briefing decks, stories, scorecards, and executive briefings for different audiences
  • Proofread and edit reports and other products for consistency of format
  • Conduct outreach to offices regarding upcoming surveys and maintain current documentation
  • Assist with developing communication strategies and plans for the assigned office or area
  • Maintain the office website and produce materials with the divisional communications team
  • Perform data manipulation and variable creation for a vaginal microbiome cohort study
  • Analyze micronutrient status and nutrition/diet data from baseline surveys
  • Evaluate associations between nutrition and vaginal microbiome composition in a longitudinal cohort
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three years of related experience
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, subject to the JHU equivalency formula
  • Experience collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data in accordance with privacy laws such as FERPA/HIPAA
  • Experience using Tableau, Power BI, and Excel for data analysis
  • Nutritional science experience preferred
  • Experience with data analysis in Stata or R preferred
  • Developing proficiency in data analysis, data collection and reporting, data tools and platforms, editing, oral and written communications, report writing, and stakeholder engagement
  • Successful candidates subject to a pre-employment background check
