Job Description
Novartis territory account specialist leading dermatology account engagement, access support, and product demand across New York and New Jersey. Improving patient outcomes through field and remote customer partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Navigate and resolve challenges within accounts with tailored solutions
- Build strategic territory plans to drive product demand and improve patient outcomes
- Partner with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office colleagues to address customer needs and deliver access support
- Apply market, competitive, and cross-functional knowledge to anticipate opportunities and respond to challenges
- Use territory data and market trends to uncover local insights and lead customer engagements virtually or in person
- Facilitate planning sessions with stakeholders to solve complex challenges across functions
- Deliver real-time access support and work with Patient Specialty Services
- Use digital tools and omni-channel strategies to personalize outreach across virtual and face-to-face settings
- Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts and healthcare providers
- Build customer connections, identify shared priorities, and connect customers with Novartis resources
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required from a 4-year college or university
- Experience within the last 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams, or comparable complex sales environments
- At least 2 years of relevant experience for Territory Account Specialist level; higher levels require 5+ or 10+ years
- Proven consistent high performance and experience selling to large accounts and key customers
- Analytic ability to seek, prioritize, and apply information to solve customer problems
- Ethical leadership and ability to foster compliance with company policies and laws
- Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border
- Ability to travel 60–80% across a broad geography
- Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory
- Fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license required
- Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches is desirable
- Understanding of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs is desirable
- Associate-level candidates may have limited prior sales experience; recent US military leadership experience with 4+ years of service is also accepted
- Company will not sponsor visas for this position
- Customer-facing employees must comply with customers’ credentialing guidelines, which may require vaccination
