Job Description
Python and DevOps Engineer evolving Capgemini’s Hardened OS Factory. Automating secure OS image delivery across AWS, Azure, GCP, and other cloud platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and extensible software solutions
- Build and enhance platform components and services supporting developer self-service capabilities
- Collaborate with Platform Owners to define requirements and prioritize development activities
- Continuously improve the platform experience
- Integrate software solutions with existing CI/CD pipelines
- Develop dynamic GitLab CI/CD pipelines using Python
- Design and implement serverless, event-driven architectures across cloud platforms
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and testing processes
- Support platform operations, reliability, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on innovation, automation, and platform enablement
- Build and evolve the Hardened OS Factory platform for securely delivering operating system images across public cloud providers
Requirements:
- Experience working with major cloud providers, such as AWS; experience with Azure and GCP is nice to have
- Strong hands-on experience in Python development
- Knowledge of serverless and event-driven architecture patterns
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools including Terraform and Ansible
- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices, particularly with GitLab CI/CD
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, ownership-driven mindset
- Experience working in large-scale, cloud-native, highly automated environments is highly desirable
- Relevant certifications are a plus, including AWS Certifications and Kubernetes Certifications (CKA/CKAD or equivalent)
