Job Description
DevSecOps Engineer securing cloud-native software delivery for PingWind, a federal government services provider. Building CI/CD security, automating controls, and supporting vulnerability remediation.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines throughout the software development lifecycle
- Integrate and automate security tools, controls, and testing within DevOps pipelines
- Support containerized and cloud-native environments using secure development and deployment practices
- Perform and support security assessments, vulnerability management, remediation, and incident response activities
- Support source code repositories, Git, version control, and automated build and deployment processes
- Collaborate with developers, security engineers, cloud architects, and operations teams to resolve security risks
- Develop and maintain documentation for DevSecOps processes, pipeline configurations, and security integrations
- Support a large Federal Government client in delivering secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of DevSecOps experience, including at least 5 years of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience at a large Government agency similar in size/scope to GSA, IRS, DoD or VA
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or related fields
- Certification in one or more of IAT III, IAM III or IASAE III; these certifications may be substituted for a relevant Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain required VA background investigation/suitability and system access
- Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-native environments
- Experience integrating security tools into DevOps pipelines and automating security processes
- VA/Federal DevSecOps experience preferred
- Infrastructure-as-Code or security-as-code experience preferred
- Experience with automated security testing and cloud-native security tooling preferred
