Job Description
Director of DevOps leading global infrastructure strategy at Sureify. Responsible for cloud operations and developer experience with a focus on security and availability.
Responsibilities:
- Define the vision and roadmap for DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a world-class team of DevOps engineers.
- Oversee the management of our AWS environment using Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Partner with the Security team to enforce SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO standards.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
- Champion an SRE mindset to ensure 99.99% availability.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Delivery leadership.
- Manage cloud costs (FinOps).
Requirements:
- 10+ years in engineering/operations, with at least 3 years in a people-management role.
- Deep technical mastery of AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, etc.).
- Proven experience running Kubernetes in production at scale.
- Familiarity with core stack: Node.js, React, MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Experience working in regulated industries (Insurance, Fintech, Healthcare) and managing compliance requirements (SOC2, GDPR).
