Job Description
Director leading global product engineering organization for secure and reliable digital products at Thermo Fisher. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving large-scale digital transformations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and scale a global product engineering organization
- Set engineering strategy and establish operating mechanisms
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Oversee architecture and technical decisions for scalable and secure solutions
- Recruit, mentor, and retain engineering talent
- Manage budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Progressive engineering leadership experience (12+ years’ experience)
- 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing software engineering teams
- Proven experience driving large-scale digital transformations
- Demonstrated expertise in modern software development practices, cloud technologies, microservices architecture, DevOps practices
- Strong track record in talent development, mentoring, and building high-performing teams
