Job Description
Senior Software Developer IV developing OpenStack integrations for Rackspace Technology. Designing and maintaining custom drivers and backends for core OpenStack projects while collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain custom drivers and backends for OpenStack
- Contribute improvements and bug fixes to upstream OpenStack projects
- Own the full lifecycle of your driver and backend work
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and storage teams
Requirements:
- Ten or more years of software development experience
- Deep working knowledge of at least two of: Ironic, Cinder, Nova, or Neutron
- Strong Python skills
- Five or more years working in Linux/Unix environments
- Experience operating services in Kubernetes or similar container orchestration environments
