Job Description
Entry-level Distribution Specialist processing retirement plan loans and distributions for Nova 401(k) Associates. Supporting participants, plan sponsors, and advisors from home.
Responsibilities:
- Process retirement plan loan and distribution requests
- Communicate request information to participants and plan sponsors
- Prepare distribution and loan packages from start to finish, including vesting verifications for daily recordkept plans
- Identify loan defaults and required minimum distributions (RMDs) from online or plan sponsor reports
- Assist participants, clients, and/or financial advisors with distribution and loan issues and inquiries
- Update account managers, management, and plan sponsors on requests and progress
- Serve as backup for the Nova participant services line
- Interpret plan documents regarding distributions and loans
- Serve as backup for data entry
- Continue training on loan, distribution, and other 401(k) issues
- Remain up to date on Nova's cybersecurity procedures and training
- Establish working relationships with vendors and plan sponsors
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
- Superior organizational and coordination skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multi-task
- Coachable and committed to professional development
- Must work from USA and be authorized to work for any US employer
- Bilingual speaking is a plus
- Knowledge of Corbel Documents & Pension Pro is a plus
- Experience in the retirement industry is a plus
- Industry experience is not required
