Job Description

Email Designer at Lilo Social, crafting high-converting email templates for direct-to-consumer brands. Collaborating closely with strategists to drive engagement and customer loyalty through email.

Responsibilities:

  • Design email templates using Klaviyo's drag-and-drop builder and custom HTML/CSS when needed
  • Create campaign emails, automated flow templates, and promotional designs aligned with client brand guidelines
  • Develop mobile-first email designs that render flawlessly across email clients and devices
  • Collaborate with retention strategists and copywriters to bring campaign concepts to life
  • Iterate quickly on email designs based on performance data and A/B test results
  • Maintain organized design systems and asset libraries for each client account
  • Build reusable email modules and components that streamline production
  • Ensure all emails meet accessibility standards and deliverability best practices
  • Stay current on email design trends, platform updates, and industry innovations
  • Execute QA testing across multiple email clients before campaign launches
  • Support the team with design feedback and contribute to internal design standards
  • Manage multiple client accounts with varying design needs and brand aesthetics

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in email design, digital design, or related field with a strong portfolio demonstrating email work
  • Expert proficiency in Figma for designing email layouts and creating design systems
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS with understanding of email-specific coding requirements and limitations
  • Strong grasp of email marketing best practices including mobile optimization, CTA placement, and visual hierarchy
  • Demonstrated ability to design for conversion while maintaining brand integrity and aesthetic quality
  • Fast iteration speed with ability to produce high-quality work under tight timelines
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to pixel-perfect execution across devices
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with strategists, copywriters, and account teams
  • Familiarity with direct-to-consumer brands and ecommerce customer lifecycle marketing
