Job Description

Lead Graphic Designer at Social Discovery Group overseeing creative quality and AI-powered production workflows. Mentoring designers and ensuring brand consistency across high-volume creative outputs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the graphic design team, ensuring high creative quality across all deliverables
  • Review, approve, and provide feedback on all internal and freelance design output before delivery
  • Work hands-on on complex or high-priority design tasks
  • Continuously improve and rebuild design production workflows using AI tools and automation
  • Increase creative production speed and scalability without compromising visual quality
  • Drive adoption and effective use of AI-powered design workflows within the team
  • Mentor and develop designers, improving both design craft and AI fluency
  • Maintain and enforce consistent brand standards across all visual assets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with producers, marketers, and requesters to align on creative needs and priorities
  • Produce and oversee high-volume performance creatives for paid acquisition campaigns
  • Oversee creation of landing page visuals, email designs, social media creatives, banners, and brand assets
  • Ensure all visual outputs are optimized for digital channels and performance goals
  • Help establish scalable creative processes, templates, and production standards
  • Balance creative quality, production efficiency, and business deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in graphic and web design, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role with responsibility for final creative quality review.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI tools into real production workflows with measurable improvements in speed, scalability, or output quality.
  • Experience building or improving scalable production systems, including template systems, modular asset frameworks, AI-assisted pipelines, and automation of repetitive design operations.
  • Proven track record of reducing production cycle time or unit cost through AI tools and workflow automation.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments such as startups, scale-ups, performance-driven in-house teams, or high-volume agencies.
  • Experience in performance marketing / user acquisition environments with understanding of how creatives impact campaign metrics such as CTR, CPA, Spend, and Sales.
  • Experience working within collaborative creative team structures, including mentoring/reviewing designers and coordinating freelancers or agencies.
  • Experience briefing freelancers/agencies, evaluating deliverables, and providing structured creative feedback.
  • Experience designing landing pages, email templates, performance creatives, and digital assets for platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Google, and similar channels.
  • Understanding of web and email layout principles, responsive behaviour, and technical constraints required for proper handoff to development teams.
  • Strong experience maintaining brand consistency and applying brand guidelines across high-volume production environments.
  • Senior-level visual craft in composition, typography, colour, hierarchy, and layout with the ability to review and direct others’ work.
  • Strong experience adapting creative concepts across multiple sizes, formats, placements, and platforms.
  • Practical experience with AI image generation tools such as Flux, ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion, NanoBanana, Imagen, or equivalent.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, reference-based generation, and production-oriented AI workflows.
  • Experience maintaining character and style consistency using tools such as LoRA, IP-Adapter, ControlNet, or similar technologies.
  • Experience using AI for creative production acceleration including variations, adaptations, upscaling, background generation/editing, and style transfer.
  • Experience with workflow automation tools such as Make, n8n, Figma plugins, or similar systems.
  • Expert-level Figma skills including auto-layout, components, scalable systems, and production workflows.
  • Basic After Effects knowledge is desirable for collaboration with adjacent motion design teams.
