Job Description
Visionary Engineer rethinking core processes and making the system ecosystem smarter. Building automation roadmaps and delivering measurable business impact across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- We are looking for a visionary Engineer with an "Automation First" mindset who will rethink our core processes and make our system ecosystem smarter.
- Analyze our central value streams (e.g., Purchase-to-Pay), develop the automation roadmap, and deliver measurable business impact (e.g., reduction of cycle times and error rates).
- Build predictive monitoring and "self-healing" mechanisms for our critical interfaces to resolve issues before they occur.
- Develop systems for automatic analysis and resolution of support tickets to reduce the team's manual workload.
- Build reusable automation services and provide them across the company via our internal AI platform (ChatAPV).
- Act as the technical sparring partner for business units and Product Owners to unlock automation potential across the organization.
Requirements:
- You live by "Automation First" and "Systems Thinking".
- You identify root causes of problems and develop sustainable, systemic solutions.
- You bring solid experience in software development (ideally Python, SQL) and working with complex ERP landscapes (e.g., Odoo).
- You have hands-on experience with workflow tools (e.g., n8n) and ideally initial exposure to applying LLM APIs or ML to solve business problems.
- You operate by the "You Build It, You Run It" principle and take end-to-end responsibility for your solutions.
- You can clearly communicate complex technical topics and act as a bridge between technology and the business.
Benefits:
- Responsible, exciting and varied tasks with a lot of scope for shaping your role in a dynamic company that embraces flat hierarchies and an open, relaxed working atmosphere where colleagues use first names.
- A friendly, open team of around 280 employees in Munich, Leipzig and Albourne (UK), with several friendly office dogs at our locations.
- Flexible working hours (based on trust-based working time), home office options including a contribution toward your home-office equipment, and the possibility to work from abroad for several months.
- 28 days of vacation entitlement, plus the option to take up to 20 days of unpaid leave as well as special leave.
- Various internal and external development opportunities that you can choose independently based on your interests.
- Your mental health matters to us: through the "OpenUp" platform you can anonymously join individual or group therapy sessions or have 1:1 meetings with licensed therapists.
- Various employee discounts — for people and pets!
- Regular team, company and Family & Friends events.
- Need a break? Relax in our social area equipped with a foosball table or challenge colleagues on our comfortable sofa area to a Mario Kart battle (or another Nintendo Switch game)!
- Don’t like reheated meals? Ordering food take too long? Our office has a high-quality, fully equipped kitchen where you can cook or bake great dishes and cakes!
- Coffee, hot cocoa, tea and other chilled soft drinks like water and juices, as well as fresh fruit, small snacks and a well-stocked sweets drawer are available free of charge.
- Many more great benefits that we will be happy to present to you during the recruitment process!
