Job Description
ETL Developer at Gainwell enhancing SQL-based healthcare environment. Responsible for data analysis, requirement gathering, and developing ETL processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain ETL processes using PL/SQL or IBM DataStage.
- Build complex workflows, mappings, and automation scripts to meet T MSIS reporting requirements.
- Write efficient shell scripts to support ETL orchestration and automation.
- Perform data transformation, integration, and validation across large healthcare datasets.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
- Prepare detailed technical design documents based on functional requirements.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to troubleshoot data quality, inconsistencies, and performance issues.
- Manage and optimize large SQL databases containing healthcare information.
- Apply advanced database administration techniques and query performance tuning.
- Ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability of database and ETL components.
- Conduct and support unit testing, system testing, and QA review for ETL processes and reports.
- Review and test deliverables prepared by other developers for quality assurance.
- Support deployment activities and migrate releases through testing and production environments.
- Communicate effectively with business users, data analysts, and technical teams.
- Provide clear status updates, documentation, and issue analysis.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple tasks.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SQL development, PL/SQL, or IBM DataStage.
- Strong understanding of advanced SQL, relational database concepts, and query optimization.
- Proficiency in writing Linux/Unix shell scripts.
- Experience with ETL design, development, and troubleshooting.
- Solid analytical skills with an ability to work with large, complex datasets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving abilities and capability to multitask effectively
- Experience working with large-scale healthcare data integration projects.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools.
- Exposure to agile development methodologies.
