Job Description
Field Medical Director supporting Pierre Fabre Pharmaceuticals’ oncology portfolio through KOL engagement, clinical studies, and regional medical strategy. Remote, field-based Midwest role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic area and product expertise across KOLs and initiatives in an assigned territory
- Implement strategic and educational medical affairs plans locally
- Provide medical and scientific support to internal stakeholders, notably Pierre Fabre US Medical Affairs
- Represent Pierre Fabre Medical Affairs in the field for the Medical Innovative Oncology portfolio
- Serve as scientific contact for HCP information and clinical trial requests
- Provide medical and scientific resources to internal Pierre Fabre stakeholders
- Provide medical review for promotional and non-promotional materials when needed
- Support internal Medical functions in accordance with Medical Affairs guidelines
- Develop and sustain scientific interactions with relevant KOLs
- Ensure KOL and treatment-center mapping and scientific profiling
- Liaise on company-sponsored clinical trials, real-world studies, managed access programs, and investigator-initiated studies
- Collaborate on the US Medical Plan and implement regional tactics
- Execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers within a territory
- Gather insights on HCP educational needs
- Develop a regional territory action plan aligned with Global and National medical strategies
- Support scientific publications and patient-centricity activities
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in life sciences (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, DO)
- Previous experience in Onco-Hematology/lymphoma/Cell Therapy is a MUST
- Prior experience as an MSL
- Prior experience with implementation of medical tactics
- Proven ability to work in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders, such as Commercial, Marketing, Medical Strategy team and other field personnel
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in life sciences, including onco-hematology and significant time in a customer-facing role
- Ability to create and sustain credible relationships with HCPs
- Ability to understand HCPs’ needs and convey emergent scientific information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to give lectures and training on medical science topics
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to design and moderate medical meetings
- High ethical standards and recognized personal integrity
- In-depth understanding of applicable ethics and compliance industry standards
- Willingness to travel with overnight stays
