Job Description
Field Service Technician providing technical support for BD Pyxis systems in healthcare facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, configuration updates, and customer service interactions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems located within hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
- Perform remediation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems.
- Conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup.
- Troubleshoot device and network issues, resolving technical problems independently or escalating complex cases.
- Provide customer-focused technical support in a professional, responsive, and resourceful manner.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation that details field activity, expenses, time distribution and other information as required.
- Maintain compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
- Follow calibration protocols for servicing equipment.
- Maintain company assets securely and in working order.
- Engage/call out to team leadership for sophisticated solving and resolution of issues as needed.
Requirements:
- High School diploma
- Ability to travel extensively for field-based service assignments.
- 1+ year of technical experience required.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities in electronics, mechanics, and electromechanical systems.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Must live within one hour of a major airport for travel efficiency.
- Prior military experience in electronics or IT roles are encouraged to apply.
