Job Description

Fleet Success Ambassador building relationships and qualified pipeline for RTA, a fleet-management software provider. Connecting public-sector fleets with Fleet360 through field engagement, discovery, and industry advocacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Create qualified pipeline from relationships, outbound efforts, field engagement, referrals, and high-potential public-sector fleet accounts
  • Generate and qualify demo opportunities through meaningful discovery before handoff to an Account Executive
  • Use public-sector fleet networks, trusted relationships, referrals, and warm introductions to open doors
  • Understand fleet challenges, current FMIS, openness to change, and realistic timing
  • Build professional thought leadership and grow a relevant LinkedIn network
  • Bring fleet-community insights back to Marketing, Sales, Product, and leadership
  • Develop relationships leading to qualified Fleet360 demos and new pipeline opportunities
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to prioritize accounts and create entry points into target organizations
  • Use HubSpot to maintain account/contact information, document meetings and outreach, and schedule demos with warm handoffs
  • Represent RTA at conferences, trade shows, association events, meetups, shop visits, and other in-person opportunities
  • Travel throughout the assigned Central or West territory approximately 50%, including frequent overnight travel
  • Host or support meetups, lunch-and-learns, shop tours, and regional networking opportunities
  • Leverage association memberships and recommend new opportunities to strengthen relationships and pipeline
  • Activate campaigns in the field and ensure positive RTA representation
  • Engage with prospects, customers, and peers through LinkedIn comments, direct messages, introductions, and follow-up
  • Coordinate with Marketing on messaging, stories, topics, and content
  • Recommend podcast topics, blog ideas, campaign angles, and other content based on field conversations
  • Develop strong working knowledge of Fleet360 and connect customer challenges to relevant functionality
  • Continue supporting deals after qualified opportunities are handed to the AE when helpful, while retaining accountability for qualified pipeline

Requirements:

  • Prior professional experience working directly in public-sector fleet management
  • Experience with a recognized city, county, state, DOT, public transportation/transit fleet, or similarly respected public fleet organization
  • Established network within the fleet community
  • Demonstrated credibility with fleet professionals and commitment to helping fleets succeed
  • Ability to conduct thoughtful initial discovery and identify qualified Fleet360 opportunities
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort representing RTA publicly at conferences, industry events, shop visits, and online
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50%, including frequent overnight travel
  • Must reside within the assigned Central or West U.S. territory
  • No minimum degree requirement
  • Recognition through fleet industry awards or rankings such as 100 Best Fleets or Leading Fleets is preferred
  • Active participation in fleet associations, conferences, peer networks, or industry communities is preferred
  • Existing professional presence on LinkedIn and thought-leadership experience are preferred
  • Experience presenting, speaking, facilitating peer discussions, or representing a fleet organization at industry events is preferred
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods
  • Must pass applicable background checks and pre-employment screenings
