Job Description
Freelance Korean editors reviewing short stories for DataForce by TransPerfect. Providing linguistic QA and storytelling feedback to improve machine translation technology.
Responsibilities:
- Review original short stories in Korean for accurate spelling, grammar, and guideline compliance
- Provide constructive feedback on plot, structure, character development, and other storytelling elements
- Complete different rounds of review for each story as required
- Review approximately 975 words per hour
- Complete assigned tasks within given deadlines
- Help test and improve Machine Translation technology
Requirements:
- Residency in South Korea
- Native-level fluency and excellent Korean reading skills, including grammar and spelling
- Working proficiency in English required for communication and task guidelines
- Graduate or undergraduate degree in literature, journalism, or creative writing and/or proven experience in editing, proofreading, or a relevant field
- Ability to start and complete tasks within given deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
