Job Description

French Translator responsible for translating and adapting French communications for CASE's mission. Ensuring quality and consistency in French-language materials across Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Translation, adaptation, and review of French communication materials
  • Translate and adapt program and marketing content with a consistent voice and approach
  • Ensure all French communication materials match the voice and tone of the English originals
  • Edit and proofread French communications and resources to identify and correct inconsistencies
  • Research and implement appropriate French terminology
  • Ensure brand consistency across all French communications
  • Maintain a translation glossary to ensure consistent translations
  • Review all written communications translated and/or adapted by external agencies
  • Communicate clearly with requesters to confirm deliverables and deadlines
  • Maintain French style guidelines and linguistic tools

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Linguistics, Language Arts, Education, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the translation field
  • Knowledge of the translation process, terminology, and localization techniques
  • Familiarity with localization guidelines and standards
  • Ability to convert English written materials into French accurately
  • Excellent translation, writing, and communication skills
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
