Job Description
Full-Stack Developer supporting a large-scale production system for US business operations. Collaborating with a team while ensuring system performance and stability during peak operational periods.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, support, and evolve a large-scale, mission-critical production system used across the US business
- Ensure system stability, correctness, and performance, especially during peak operational periods (spring-May)
- Take ownership of backend and data-heavy components, with a strong focus on the database layer
- Design, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data workflows
- Diagnose and resolve production issues quickly during US business hours
- Work confidently within an existing, complex codebase (not a greenfield project)
- Collaborate with an Israel-based engineering team, while providing primary coverage during US hours
- Support ongoing improvements while prioritizing reliability over experimentation
- Participate in discussions around real production scenarios, operational constraints, and peak-season demands
Requirements:
- 5+ Full-Stack Engineer with proven experience in large, real-world production systems
- Exceptional PostgreSQL / SQL expertise: Advanced queries, Stored procedures, Performance tuning, Large datasets
- Strong backend experience with Node.js, Express, and TypeScript
- Working knowledge of React for frontend-related tasks
- Experience with Kubernetes or containerized production environments
- Deep understanding of business logic implemented at the database level
- High sense of ownership and reliability during business-critical periods
- Ability to work US Eastern Time hours, including Friday availability
- Comfortable handling increased responsibility and workload during peak season
- Clear, structured problem-solving and a strong production-oriented mindset.
