Job Description
Senior Front-End Developer designing and building user-friendly interfaces for Zurich's Generative AI platform. Collaborating with teams to ship features that delight users and scale effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build customer-facing layers, blending React excellence with backend know-how
- Translate complex GenAI flows into simple, elegant journeys
- Own the design system: typography, colour, motion
- Ship production-grade React (TypeScript) every sprint
- Architect component libraries, state management (Redux-Toolkit / Zustand), server-side rendering, and micro front-ends
- Design and consume REST/GraphQL APIs, WebSockets, and event streams
- Automate builds, tests, and deployments via GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps
- Lead a squad of engineers and UX designers through weekly sprints
Requirements:
- Strong experience building modern web apps in React + TypeScript
- Proven experience launching in production web apps with outstanding UX and performance
- Solid grounding in design thinking, information architecture, and interaction design (Figma, Storybook, Design Tokens)
- Fluency in HTML5 / CSS3, Tailwind CSS or CSS-in-JS
- Backend chops: Node.js, API design, authentication (OAuth 2.0), basic DB skills (PostgreSQL / MongoDB) and cloud deployment (AWS / Azure)
- Production know-how: observability, feature flags, A/B tests, error budgets
- Clear, concise communicator who loves turning complexity into clarity.
