Job Description
Senior UI Developer at Eleventh Hour Games shaping the player experience through UI systems. Collaborating with design and engineering to create scalable and polished user interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain UI systems and features that support gameplay, menus, HUDs, inventories, progression, social features, and other player-facing experiences
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX, design, art, and engineering to translate interface goals into reliable technical implementation
- Develop scalable and maintainable UI architecture that can support long-term feature growth and iteration
- Implement polished, responsive, and user-friendly interface behavior in engine
- Support data-driven UI workflows (e.g. MVVM) and integration with gameplay systems
- Debug, optimize, and improve UI systems for performance, usability, and stability
- Help identify technical risks, dependencies, and implementation tradeoffs early in development
- Contribute to engineering standards, code quality, and sustainable development practices across UI systems
- Support iteration by responding to playtest feedback, bugs, and changing feature needs over time
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional game development experience
- Experience building UI systems or player-facing features in shipped games
- Proficiency in C++
- Strong understanding of UI architecture, usability, and systems design principles
- Experience building maintainable, scalable, and performant UI code
- Experience collaborating closely with UI/UX designers to implement interface features
- Strong debugging, profiling, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with modern game engines and UI implementation workflows
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across disciplines in a remote environment
- Experience supporting controller, keyboard/mouse, and multi-input UI experiences
