Job Description
Senior Software Engineer at Truelogic enhancing web performance and growth for a leading real estate technology platform. Focus on user experience and architectural excellence in a remote setup.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Leadership: Lead the design and delivery of complex web initiatives from ideation and architectural design through rollout and iteration.
- Conversion Optimization: Drive improvements in user acquisition by optimizing browsing experiences and login flows (e.g., One Tap, FedCM, social authentication).
- System Architecture: Architect and implement scalable, high-performance frontend systems using React and Next.js.
- Performance Engineering: Identify and execute opportunities to improve site performance, focusing on Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse scores, and advanced data-fetching strategies.
- Data-Driven Growth: Define and implement A/B testing, feature flags, and progressive rollouts to inform product decisions with real-time data.
- Observability & Analytics: Elevate tracking, telemetry, and error monitoring to provide deep visibility into user behavior and system reliability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to shape the roadmap and prioritize high-impact work.
- Platform Enhancement: Contribute to SEO strategies and content platform improvements, including CMS integrations and structured data.
- Mentorship: Raise the bar for code quality and engineering practices by mentoring other engineers and improving developer experience.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience building modern, large-scale web applications.
- Core Stack: Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Web Performance Mastery: Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals, SSR/CSR tradeoffs, caching, and Lighthouse optimization.
- Growth Engineering: Proven experience designing and running A/B tests and managing gradual feature rollouts.
- Data Systems: Strong experience with analytics, tracking, and telemetry systems.
- Full-Stack Familiarity: Experience working across the stack (Node.js and/or Ruby on Rails) and integrating with complex APIs.
- Architectural Vision: Ability to make high-level decisions that balance speed, scalability, and maintainability.
- Nice-to-Have: Experience with modern authentication (OAuth, Google One Tap, FedCM).
- SEO: Knowledge of technical SEO best practices.
- Observability: Experience with platforms like Datadog or similar error-monitoring tools.
- Content Management: Familiarity with headless CMS platforms like Contentful.
- DevEx: Experience improving developer tooling, documentation, and internal workflows.
