Job Description

GIS Software Developer implementing geo-enabled applications for the NG9-1-1 market. Collaborating with the Technology Strategy Department at Esri Canada to drive product initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and support of internal and external applications
  • Manage and maintain the software development lifecycle/process
  • Work with internal and external clients to define requirements
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the software development process
  • Estimate development effort and meet project deadlines
  • Meet with stakeholders to identify and assess business issues
  • Proactively pursue self-directed learning on relevant technical topics
  • Collaborate with other developers to ensure development requirements are met

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of development experience with ArcGIS, ArcGIS Maps/SDK for JavaScript
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Server and Portal) and/or ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS web application development
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience with Esri's Calcite design system
  • Experience with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript
  • Experience developing ArcGIS geoprocessing tools
  • Experience with Python and ArcPy
  • Experience with RDBMS technologies such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle
  • Demonstrated ability to create technical and user documentation
  • University degree in Computer Science, GIS, or equivalent education
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
