Job Description

Graphic Designer producing print-ready collegiate and paper-product artwork for an American manufacturer. Managing licensing submissions, catalogs, marketing materials, and digital assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lay out and prepare print-ready artwork for notebooks, composition books, legal pads, and specialty paper products
  • Use PDF files as guides to lay out new workbook content into Illustrator files
  • Design collegiate notebooks, portfolios, journals, and blue books within an order-based system
  • Create web images according to customer specifications
  • Ensure every file is correct, complete, and production-ready before submission
  • Submit artwork approval requests to licensing agencies in compliance with their rules and regulations
  • Manage collegiate licensing submissions accurately
  • Assist customers and sales representatives with custom collegiate orders
  • Design brochures and flyers for marketing
  • Assist with the annual product catalog
  • Provide graphic support to other departments
  • Help maintain the cloud-based digital asset management platform
  • Organize artwork files using version control and naming conventions
  • Complete application stages including prequalifying questions, video introduction, role-specific assessment if applicable, recruitment interview, executive interview, client interview, and background/reference check

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Adobe CC Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign — hard requirement
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in production and licensing artwork contexts
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines without errors
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for file management and order processing
  • Comfortable working and communicating in a virtual environment
  • Self-directed and organized with a production mindset that prioritizes accuracy over speed
  • Updated resume required
  • Portfolio link showing production design work, including print-ready files, layout work, or collegiate, packaging, or manufacturing-adjacent design examples
  • Short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) introducing yourself, describing production design experience, and explaining the quality-control process
  • Both a portfolio and Loom video are required to advance to the next hiring step
