Job Description

Head of Accounting managing accounting, reporting, compliance, and finance processes for Thynk.Cloud’s hospitality SaaS platform. Leading a two-person team and supporting growth initiatives remotely across Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting team of 2 people
  • Structure, manage, and improve end-to-end accounting processes from invoices to bookkeeping entries and cash-flow monitoring
  • Ensure up-to-date accounting with external partners, including data entry, lettering, and bank reconciliations
  • Ensure accuracy of analytical accounting and overall landings
  • Produce monthly financial reports, including cut-offs and provisions, in collaboration with other teams and the CFO
  • Analyze and implement control points for reliable reporting and closings
  • Define and roll out operational KPIs and dashboards using AI
  • Provide ad-hoc support for budget monitoring
  • Lead and monitor continuous improvement of internal finance and transversal processes
  • Select, implement, and monitor Finance tools, optimizations, and automations
  • Conduct analysis and ad-hoc project management on priority bottlenecks
  • Coordinate and manage external stakeholders including CAC, EC, banks, and advisors
  • Lead and secure entity closings, including intercompany transactions
  • Manage legal, administrative, and tax obligations
  • Lead ESOP plans and cap table administration
  • Provide ad-hoc support for Group growth initiatives including financing, international expansion, M&A, and Board decks
  • Report to and work closely with the CFO to produce reliable financial data for reporting and modeling

Requirements:

  • More than 5 years of experience in accounting in an SMB or accounting firm
  • Good knowledge of legal, accounting, and financial aspects, especially for the Belgian parent company and French subsidiary
  • Process-driven and tool-oriented
  • Fluent in English
  • Seeking a 4-days-per-week job
  • French language skills are a bonus
  • Good understanding of legal and financial aspects in Belgium is a bonus
  • Contractor format
  • Available for either 4 days per week or full time (5 days per week)
