Job Description
Senior Manager, Accounting owning close, reporting, controls, and technical accounting for ShopMy's creator-commerce platform. Scaling financial systems at a high-growth technology company.
Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, variance explanations, and financial reporting
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data
- Apply an audit mindset to internal controls, compliance, and financial processes
- Research technical accounting matters and prepare well-supported memos for audit and financial reporting
- Apply accounting knowledge to the technology and creator economy context
- Improve and scale accounting systems and workflows
- Support external audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong foundation in audit
- CPA license
- Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Ability to research, analyze, and write technical accounting positions and memos
- Familiarity with modern accounting tools and a track record of process improvement
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders
- Industry-relevant experience in technology, e-commerce, or a high-growth startup environment preferred
- NetSuite ERP system experience is a bonus
