Job Description

Data Analyst Intern supporting data-driven decisions in healthcare while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Building data warehouse and visualizations to aid in organizational decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Help the team building a well-structured data warehouse
  • Transform business needs into data visualizations
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Product Managers, Engineering Teams and Business Stakeholders
  • Provide clean and ready-to-use data to the organization
  • Perform descriptive data analysis to identify trends and patterns
  • Prepare basic reports and visualizations to present data insights to stakeholders
  • Participate in code reviews to learn from senior analysts and ensure adherence to best practices
  • Ensure data accuracy by cross-checking data for assigned tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in SQL (ability to write basic queries)
  • Experience with dbt (or similar data transformation tools) is a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Looker Studio, or equivalent BI tools is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Understanding the 'Why': Eager to ask clarifying questions about data requests to ensure accurate and relevant results
  • Coachability & Active Listening: Open to receiving and acting on feedback from senior analysts and team members
  • Accountability for Tasks: Demonstrated ability to deliver assigned tasks on time and to the required quality standards
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and strong attention to detail
  • Quick learner and proven ability to adapt to situations quickly
  • Familiar with data warehousing fundamental concepts and ETL processes; Understanding basic database normalization concepts and entity relationships, and follows established data models
