Job Description

Java-Backend-Entwickler für Spring Boot, Camunda und Microservices bei Rockstardevelopers. Entwicklung, Betrieb und Automatisierung von Enterprise- und Behördenprojekten.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on client projects for large companies and public-sector organizations, embedded within their teams
  • Design, develop, and test Java-based microservices
  • Develop synchronous and asynchronous REST and SOAP APIs using OpenAPI 3
  • Automate processes with Camunda BPM
  • Automate testing with JUnit 5 and Cucumber
  • Operate your own services, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Help shape software architectures
  • Generate, review, and refactor code using Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders across team boundaries
  • Participate in scheduled on-call rotations for developed services
  • Attend occasional on-site client meetings every few weeks

Requirements:

  • Senior-level experience; able to work independently and deliver from day one
  • Java and Spring Boot, along with Spring Data and Hibernate/JPA
  • Design, development, and testing of microservices
  • REST and SOAP web services (JSON/XML over HTTP), OpenAPI 3
  • PostgreSQL and Oracle
  • JUnit 5 and Cucumber
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • CI/CD with GitLab Pipelines; Maven for builds
  • Git, Jira, Confluence, and agile methodologies
  • Hands-on Camunda BPM experience from real-world projects
  • OAuth 2.0 and Keycloak for authentication and authorization
  • German at native level or C1/C2 proficiency
  • Fluent English
  • Productive use of Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor (AI tools are required)
  • Willingness to participate in scheduled on-call rotations
  • Nice to have, but not required: Apache Kafka and asynchronous communication; XML, XSD, XSLT; experience working on complex projects involving multiple teams; legacy J2EE systems and migration to Spring Boot
