Job Description

Junior Software Engineer helping to build healthcare cost containment platform. Focus on backend tools for data validation and extraction in a remote role.

Responsibilities:

  • Help design, implement, and maintain systems that update regulatory data across multiple healthcare revenue cycle management products.
  • Write high-quality, object-oriented code C# code to build and maintain data processing systems
  • Develop importers (.NET) and custom SQL scripts to load and transform data efficiently
  • Analyze datasets and collaborate with analysts to devise ways to ingest data from numerous data sources
  • Build automated data validation tools intended to work with problematic datasets
  • Develop tools to automate data extraction from diverse source types, including web scraping, crawling, and PDF deconstruction

Requirements:

  • 6+ months of commercial software development experience
  • Strong understanding of C# and object-oriented programming (OOP) fundamentals
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases, especially MS SQL Server
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using approved patterns and design principles
  • Working knowledge of Git
  • Familiarity with Microsoft development environments (Visual Studio, VS Code)
  • Intermediate+ English level
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • High sense of ownership, accountability, and visibility in work
  • Knowledge of Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence
  • Familiarity with REST APIs
  • Unit testing experience
  • Experience debugging with Visual Studio tools (debugger, profiler)
