Job Description
Lead Automated Test Engineer at Concept Plus, providing technical leadership for Air Force IT systems. Designing automated testing strategies and frameworks in a collaborative Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites
- ensure the quality and reliability of software delivered for mission-critical DoD applications
- work closely with software engineers, systems engineers, and government customers in an Agile environment
- identify performance bottlenecks and issues
- analyze test results to understand system behavior under different loads
- provide actionable recommendations based on test findings
- develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures aligned with system requirements and user stories
- integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- perform root-cause analysis on test failures and work with developers to resolve defects quickly
- collaborate with systems engineers to derive testable requirements
- support test environment setup, configuration, and maintenance, including containerized test environments
- produce and maintain test documentation including test plans, test reports, and traceability matrices
- mentor junior team members in automated testing techniques and tools
Requirements:
- US Citizenship Required
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance
- DoD 8140 intermediate certification or DoD 8570 IAM Level II certifications or higher
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience
- 5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance and automated test development for the DoD, Air Force preferred
- Experience writing test scripts in Python, Java, or similar language
