Job Description
QA Automation Engineer automating banking software tests for Qualysoft, an enterprise IT consulting and digital transformation company. Building API, integration, database, UI, and CI/CD test coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the automated testing framework for CDEV, LIDA, and DDHS
- Develop automated tests for REST APIs and Kafka-based workflows
- Implement integration tests using TestContainers in isolated testing environments
- Validate data in SQL databases, ensuring amount consistency, traceability, and auditability
- Automate end-to-end testing scenarios for Angular-based user interfaces
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and reliable software delivery
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers during requirements analysis to define acceptance criteria and test data
- Coordinate System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing execution, track defects, and monitor their resolution
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Java, preferably Java 17 or 21, JUnit 5, and AssertJ for automated testing
- Hands-on experience in REST API testing using RestAssured or similar tools
- Practical experience with TestContainers for integration testing and Kafka message testing
- Solid knowledge of SQL for database validation and data integrity testing
- Experience in UI test automation using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and Git version control
- Nice to have: familiarity with OpenShift or Kubernetes
- Nice to have: experience in performance testing using JMeter or Gatling
- Nice to have: previous experience in the banking, financial services, or lending domain
