Job Description

Lead Automation Architect designing secure Ansible and Jenkins automation for Peraton’s Federal Financial infrastructure. Driving scalable solutions across air-gapped and AWS GovCloud environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the target state architecture for automation
  • Make and document design decisions that realize the target architecture
  • Lead architecture reviews across the portfolio
  • Drive process analysis to identify and prioritize automation opportunities
  • Ensure automation solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned to business strategy
  • Mentor architects and engineers
  • Lead cross-functional design sessions
  • Communicate architectural direction to technical and executive audiences
  • Define and maintain target-state automation architecture, standards, patterns, and technology roadmaps
  • Lead architecture, design, and implementation of secure automation solutions across Federal Financial environments, including air-gapped infrastructure and AWS GovCloud
  • Develop and enforce Infrastructure as Code strategies using Ansible, Ansible Tower/AWX, and related automation technologies
  • Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  • Document key decisions, tradeoffs, dependencies, and implementation standards
  • Analyze infrastructure and operational processes to roadmap automation opportunities
  • Design automation for server provisioning, configuration, patching, lifecycle management, and decommissioning across RHEL and Windows Server environments

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust level clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree and 16 years of experience, or a High School diploma or equivalent and 20 years of experience
  • 15+ years building and automating secure infrastructure across Federal Financial programs
  • Specialization in Infrastructure as Code with Ansible
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline engineering with Jenkins
  • Continuous monitoring with Splunk for RHEL and Windows Server systems in air-gapped and AWS GovCloud environments
  • Experience with Ansible/Ansible Tower/AWX
  • Proven experience in Linux and Windows server administration
  • Experience in automating decommission/provisioning workflows
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment credit check as required by the Customer
  • Preferred: Experience with Service Now and ARIA
