Job Description
Lead Steam Turbines Technical Field Advisor supporting GE Vernova’s global energy equipment services. Managing turbine installation, maintenance, repairs, site supervision, and technical customer guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, coordinate, and perform on-site installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of Steam Turbine systems
- Diagnose and repair equipment
- Provide technical guidance to customers and ensure successful aftermarket upgrades
- Oversee third-party critical tasks
- Perform installation walk-downs and ensure contractor compliance
- Enforce GE safety standards and drive customer satisfaction through high-quality work and technical sign-offs
- Maintain timely technical reports, job status updates, expense reports, and material logistics documentation
- Coach and mentor team members on product and field engineering knowledge
- Support project requirements through extensive travel, overtime, and weekend/holiday work
- Support core values and vision through proactive task management
Requirements:
- Technical/University degree or qualifying experience OR a High School Diploma / GED with experience in a Field Services role or equivalent qualifications
- Experience in a field services or power generation equipment maintenance position
- SEP certificate for group 2 - operations
- Solid understanding of Steam Turbine Operation and Controlling Parameters
- Strong technical competence in steam turbine and auxiliary services operations, including alignment, balancing, and assessment
- Valid driver’s license
- English proficiency required
- Ability and willingness to travel in Poland and internationally (80%+)
- Extensive travel, overtime, and weekend/holiday work as necessary
