Job Description

IT-Administration- und Cyber-Security-Dozent beim Berliner EdTech-Unternehmen Syntax Institut. Durchführung von Online-Kursen und Entwicklung praxisnaher Lehrmaterialien.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily online classes in the mornings, including e-lectures and live demonstrations
  • Support participants during self-study, practical assignments, intensive group sessions, and office hours
  • Develop practical learning materials in collaboration with the Product Team
  • Ensure and continuously improve the subject-matter and instructional quality of course content
  • Update course content and self-study assignments
  • Support participants in successfully completing the module
  • Coordinate and assess assignment submissions and prepare reports
  • Develop initiatives to support participants who are struggling academically
  • Collaborate with the Student Success Team
  • Share knowledge and experience with colleagues to further develop teaching practices

Requirements:

  • Completed vocational training as an IT specialist, a degree in computer science, or an equivalent qualification
  • At least five years of practical experience
  • Teaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies, including the OSI model, routing, and VLANs
  • Knowledge of system administration, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux
  • Proficiency with virtualization solutions such as Hyper-V
  • Good knowledge of network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs
  • Experience with PowerShell and Bash
  • Knowledge of Blue Team and Red Team concepts
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and platforms such as Snort, Suricata, or Wazuh
  • Understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, MITRE ATT&CK, and the OWASP Top 10
  • Independent, structured, and analytical approach to work
  • Fluent German skills at a minimum C1 level
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Affinity for online teaching, e-learning, and web-based learning programs
