Job Description
Marketing Automation Engineer responsible for architecting and developing marketing automation programs. Delivering best-in-class automated B2B experiences at WEX leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the architecture and development of marketing automation programs
- Engage customers at moments that matter within the customer lifecycle
- Partner with the Salesforce Marketing Automation working with teams across the business and deliver best-in-class automated, personalized B2B experiences
- Proactively engage with Marketing Automation CX Strategy partners, SMEs in marketing, product and within the business to architect marketing automation that aligns with business objectives and achieves target business outcomes
- Demonstrate expertise by staying at the bleeding edge of marketing automation and personalization trends
- Share your expertise and insights to impact strategy and educate stakeholders
- Leverage best in class practices and team processes to develop marketing automation journeys and personalization within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Communicate requirements, risks and progress
- Partner with Marketing Automation CX Strategists to design acceptance criteria and implement UAT
- Monitor performance data to ensure accuracy and uptime
- Establish and monitor KPIs to track the effectiveness of marketing automation initiatives and demonstrate ROI
- Leverage testing methodologies, and data analytics to gain insights into campaign performance, customer behavior, and user engagement to inform automation strategies and optimization initiatives
- Monitor KPI trends of your automation portfolio and drive corrective action where necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
- Senior experience in marketing automation and personalization development, with demonstrated success
- Strong understanding of marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement), Marketo, HubSpot, Optimizely), CRM systems, personalization platforms, and analytics tools
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience building and segmenting audiences, and a history of driving optimization through a/b testing and use of AI tools
- A demonstrated ability to work with highly abstract concepts and incomplete information yet able to use sound business judgment to provide actionable recommendations to cross functional teams internally
- Experience in B2B marketing
- Knowledge of lead scoring and lead management best practices
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation
- SQL, Amscript, Java, HTML
