Job Description
Medical Science Liaison advancing Deciphera Pharmaceuticals’ investigational and marketed oncology therapies. Building KOL relationships, supporting studies, and translating clinical insights into medical strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a field-based scientific expert within oncology
- Build and maintain credible, peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical investigators, and healthcare professionals
- Provide balanced, evidence-based information on investigational and marketed therapies
- Engage with KOLs and external experts about clinical data, emerging research, and disease-state insights
- Support investigator-initiated and company-sponsored studies
- Represent the company at scientific meetings and congresses
- Deliver clear, balanced scientific presentations
- Communicate field insights to internal stakeholders
- Summarize scientific updates and competitive intelligence to inform medical strategy and evidence-generation plans
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Commercial teams
- Support clinical trial feasibility, investigator identification, and educational initiatives
- Contribute to internal training, medical planning, and continuous improvement of field processes
Requirements:
- Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years of pharma/biotech experience, including at least 3 years as an MSL or in a field medical role
- Strong understanding of oncology disease states and emerging therapies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to distill complex scientific data into clear, actionable insights
- Compliance with SOPs, PhRMA Code, and global regulatory requirements
