Job Description
Mobile drug and alcohol collector performing compliant after-hours testing for On Demand Occupational Medicine. Responding to local client dispatches and managing specimen documentation and shipping.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to after-hours dispatches for post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and emergency testing
- Perform on-site drug and alcohol collections, including urine, oral fluid, hair, and/or breath alcohol testing
- Conduct collections according to DOT 49 CFR Part 40 and On Demand procedures
- Secure, package, and ship specimens in compliance with chain-of-custody standards
- Complete documentation, including CCFs, shipping manifests, and electronic submissions
- Maintain professionalism, discretion, and customer-service standards in the field
- Protect and maintain company-provided equipment and supplies; report losses or damages
- Keep supplies organized and ready at the collector’s residence or vehicle
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding arrival, completion, and issues
- Maintain readiness during scheduled on-call periods and answer calls promptly
- Identify appropriate restroom facilities for urine collections
- Represent On Demand Occupational Medicine while providing mobile testing services for employers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Proof of auto insurance permitting business use; 100k/300k/100k
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test
- Smartphone with data plan and GPS capability
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency or roadside environments
- Prior experience in drug testing, healthcare, or related field preferred but not required
- DOT certification preferred; training provided for qualified applicants
- Must adhere to DOT and On Demand regulatory and professionalism standards
- Must safeguard company-provided supplies and materials
Benefits:
- Up to $150 per call
- Flat rate per callout equivalent to 2 hours of service
